Out of 250 seats, this college offers 38 seats to the NEET students. The state-run government college has seen achievers in the name of social activist Dr. Hanumanappa Sudarshan and Musician Ramiya Mohan.
- CMC (Vellore)
CMC Medical College is one of the most popular medical institutions in the south that was established in the year 1900. CMC Vellore college offers around 130 seats to its students out of which 105 are for male students and 25 for Female students.
- Kasturba Medical College (Manipal)
This college comes under the private sector and was the first one to be established outside the government spectrum. The college offers around 250 seats for the students aspiring to be a doctor through this concern.
- MS Ramaiyah Medical College (Bangalore)
The college makes its name in the top 10 college list of being one of the best in private medical college. The main contention of this college during its establishment was that health services should reach to the public at large.
- JSS Medical College (Mysore)
